SANDALS NEGRIL

One of my coleagues, Roslyn,  just went down to Jamaica for a week. Her and her husband stayed at the Sandels Negril Resort. This resort is approximately 1.25 hours from the airport in Montego Bay. They had a wonderful time at this couples only all inclusive resort. From dining at Kimonos (Japanese Restaurant) to the open air Barefoot on the beach. In total this resort boasts six restaurants. This all included in your stay. Did I mention the beverages were included?. This romantic setting on Negril's seven mile beach also includes every imaginable watersport.

For course I asked her if she would go back again and her reply was 'in a heartbeat'

Roslyn is a Certified Sandals Specialst. She has been to most of the Sandals Resorts, and her knowledge of these resorts are astounding.

The Grande Beach Resort in Naples is running some very, very low summer rates. Rates from $99 per night. Oceanview from $119. This rate does not include the tax 0f 10% or resort fee of $22 per night. This is still the best deal I have found in a while! 4 Star hotel/resort for this kind of a low price? Best of all; if you book by August 31, 2009, the fourth night is free. What is the catch? I king find one. Let us know if you are interested. info@curlewtravel.com or (727)789-1771. Hurry! This deal won't last!

Carnival Legend
8/17/2009 3:40:50 PM Link 0 comments | Add comment

Carnival Legend sails from Tampa every Sunday year round. Being located right in the Tampa Bay area makes me very excited! No need to fly or drive to Miami/Ft.Lauderdale or Port Canaveral.

This ship came into Carnival's fleet in 2002 and was refurbished in 2005. Holds 2124 passengers (based on double occupancy) and up to 2667 passengers (with upper berth). At 88 500 tons(GRT) she is at an average size for a cruiseship....especially considering Royal Caribbean is coming out with a ship that will be 210 000 tons(GRT) at the end of this year. The officers tend to be Italian and the crew of 930 International.

The Carnival Legend visits Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan on its' 7 night itineraries. I just checked the September 13, 2009 sailing; prices from $609 per person. Feel free to contact us for details at 727 789-1771 or by email cruises@curlewtravel.com

River Cruises

I just read a great article concerning River Cruises in Europe. What a great way to see Europe! You cruise on the great rivers of Europe such as the Danube and the Rhine. Cruising tends to be at night with you waking up every morning in a new destination.

Advantages of river cruising: unpack one, meals included with wine included during meals (on Avalon Waterways) Many/if not all the excursions included. English speaking crew.

Note - if you book by September 01, 2009 you can receive up to $1000 off per cabin for sailings on Avalon Waterways)part of Globus Family of brands). Check with us for details. It is a great way to see Europe!

Cruising during Hurricane Season
8/5/2009 9:32:49 AM Link 0 comments | Add comment

cruise, specials

From June 01 through November 30 all of us in florida worry about hurricanes. It is August already without one (thankfully!!!) You may ask; why would someone take a cruise during this season? Keep in mind a cruisehip is not going to sit right in a hurricane. A ship can move to another safer destination. The ship could possibly stay out another day or come in early to avoid a hurricane. The captains' priority is the safety of the passengers, staff and the multi-billion dollar ship. Ther advantage for us is the lower price at this time of the year. I tend to go on aone in September or October when I can get a balcony cabin for around $700-800 for a seven night cruise. Compare this price to other times of the year and you realize this is a steal. Feel like cruising? email me johan@curlewtravel.com
